What makes Outpost QA stand out as an employer compared to others you've worked with?

In my opinion, Outpost QA stands out mostly in terms of the maturity level of the projects I’ve worked on. These projects are way more formalized since they follow the best practices of how QA should be included earlier in the software development lifecycle. This was not happening on projects in previous companies I worked on.

How has working at Outpost QA helped you grow professionally and personally?

Working at Outpost QA has allowed me to continue improving both my hard/soft skills. I got to the team as a QA Manual Test Engineer and now I ramped up to a QA Team Manager. Also, the company provided me with the ability to take any courses that contribute to my professional growth, and also the chance to get certified on ISTQB CTFL. As for personal development, I consider that the company environment makes it easier to establish a friendship with colleagues outside the regular job basis.

What kind of work environment and culture can a new team member expect at Outpost QA?

Lots of kind, warm people, always willing to help you out. During the pandemic, we were forced to work remotely; and personally, once the pandemic passed, I was thankful that we had an office to work in. This way is more practical for me since I still have time/permission to accomplish my day-to-day personal tasks and also spend great quality time with colleagues in real life, which is WAY MORE valuable than doing it via video calls.

What excites you the most about the projects and challenges you work on here?

The opportunity to always learn new things. Every project contains its particular way of working and for me it is quite exciting to adapt to them. Also using new technologies and tools allows me to grow.

How does Outpost QA support your career development and work-life balance?

Outpost QA, since the day I arrived, established that you should work ONLY on your day-to-day schedule, and no more. This is to protect the balance of your personal life and work and prevent having workaholism and burnout. If you get requested to do extra work hours, you are not forced to do it, and always asked with previous notice.

In your opinion, what’s the best thing about being part of the Outpost QA Team?

The colleagues, the culture, and the cool projects that will certainly improve your skills and experience, following the best practices.
