In my opinion one important thing that makes Outpost QA stand out are its values and policies, the company enforces them when it’s necessary. I really like that human sense that nowadays is difficult to find in other companies.
Performing my activities everyday and having the opportunity to take the ISTQB certification has helped me to learn a lot about QA and the different processes that it involves. I never imagined that growth could be ”easy” and fast, but I think one important part of this growth is my coworkers and leaders, who continue helping and supporting me everyday to enrich my knowledge and capabilities. Working at Outpost QA has made me consider and value my coworkers, their opinions and work, due to the synergy and respectful work environment in the office.
They can expect a great team to work with, colleagues willing to help, a company that is concerned about their employees. The most important thing that some people are concerned about when they start a new job, a good place to work.
The opportunity to learn, at the beginning it could be stressful and overwhelming, but after some months I realized that I have the capability to continue learning and growing doing my job and that feeling of success is the reward.
The company helps me to improve my career development by giving me tools such as ISTQB certification, the opportunity to take courses related to my career, and to improve different skills with the team. Something I was looking for when I decided to work in this area is to have a good work-life balance. Outpost exceeded my expectations in this regard, now I can enjoy the time with my family and friends. Unlike my previous job, I no longer have to worry about phone calls outside of work hours or late-night shifts. All the recreational activities that the company organizes are a plus, it helps the team to get to know each other and de-stress for a while.
The best thing for me is the environment in the office, it can only be possible due to all the people that make up Outpost QA. We have the same values (or we try hehe) and that makes it possible to have a respectful work environment.
