Outpost QA is a startup in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, we are dedicated to software quality assurance. Our goal is to help companies improve their digital products through manual and automated testing strategies, ensuring their applications’ functionality, stability and performance. We’re looking for a Junior Manual Tester with experience in web and mobile application testing, someone with an analytical, detail-oriented approach, and who enjoys finding those little bugs before they reach production. Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned test cases and ad hoc assignments.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.
  • Test products based on predefined quality assurance standards.
  • Run tests on physical devices and emulators/simulators.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (Scrum) and collaborate with development and product teams.
  • Meet deadlines and deliverables.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in software quality assurance.
  • Experience in manual testing for web and mobile applications (iOS and Android).
  • Basic knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and bug life cycle.
  • Using test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation in databases.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
  • Intermediate/advanced English (B2 or higher) for communication with international teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud testing tools such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
  • HTML, CSS JavaScript experience.
  • Interest in learning about test automation with tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.
  • Website Development Experience.
